FreshTrack is a ledger for your kitchen — built on the belief that most food waste isn't carelessness, it's forgetting.

How expiry status works

Every item you log carries an expiration date and a warning window — how many days ahead you want to be warned. Status is derived from the two:

The ledger sorts by urgency — soonest expiry first. Expired items get a one-tap Toss · relist that records them in your waste report and re-adds them to your shopping list.

When you type a common food name, FreshTrack suggests a typical storage place, category and shelf life. A few examples:

Suggestions are typical estimates, not food-safety advice — you can always override the dates, and you should trust your senses first.

How we keep your kitchen private

Your ledger is tied to your Google account and visible only to you. We store exactly what you log — items, dates, your shopping list and waste history, plus your preferences — and use it for one purpose: showing it back to you.

• No selling, no profiling — your kitchen data is never analyzed for advertising or shared with third parties.
• Notifications stay local — reminders are computed from your own ledger; enabling them is optional.
• You hold the exit — erase everything permanently, any time, from Settings.
